Vintage Set Hoda Plaques x4 • Black Iron Wall Decor • 1960s Mid Century • Early American Design
This homey vintage set of four (4) molded metal plaques by Hoda, painted flat black and brushed in antique gold, will take your decor back to the 1960s. Priced as a set, you’ll get four low-relief metal wall hangings:
• An Iron Setting on a Trivet
• A Wooden Bucket with Ladle
• A Kerosene Lamp attached to a filigree Wall Sconce
• A Hearth Bellows
The items in this set were nostalgic to the 1960s cook, representing things her grandmother or even great-grandmother used. That’s when the 1950s and 1960s saw a resurgence of “Early American” decor. These are stamped “Hoda” on the back, and the integrated keyhole hooks make them ready to hang right out of the box. Arrange them as a group, or sprinkle them around several spots in your home. They’re not cast iron and the backs are hollow (see photo #4), so they are probably not going to require heavy-duty wall anchors to hang.
CONDITION: The metal is intact in all four plaques. The black paint is very chippy, which may add to their vintage charm in your mind. Or pick up a can of spray paint and go wild! These are definitely vintage and were used in a home, so please inspect the photos to make certain that you can love these pieces even with their flaws.
DIMENSIONS: The apple in photo #5 is life-size. They project 1-1 1/2″ inches from the wall when hung.
Iron: 5 1/2″ wide x 6″ high
Bellows: 5 1/2″ wide x 8 3/4″ high
Lamp: 4 3/4″ wide x 8 3/4″ high
Bucket: 5 1/2″ wide x 7 1/2″ high
