Vintage Napco Pedestal Compote with Cherubs
Vintage ivory ceramic Pedestal Compote/Candy Bowl/Vase/Vanity Soap Dish with Cherubs from National Potteries Co. (NAPCO). Made in Japan, this is a beautifully detailed piece with two pale blush-pink clay flowers added to the front. Unlike many of the similar pieces available, these little figures lack wings and aren’t hugging the column base which makes this signed piece even more collectible.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition: no chips, cracks or crazing. Pristine original label on the bottom. Each chub has a small hole used for firing and original to the piece. There are pinholes on the top and base rims missed by the white glaze, also original to the compote. This is decades old and has presumably been used, so please examine all of the photo close-ups to ensure that you can love it in its AS IS condition.
DIMENSIONS: 6 1/8″ high; 3 1/2″ diameter of the base; 4 7/8″ diameter of the rim. and 2″ depth of bowl
TIP: Use to decorate a wedding shower tabletop and then gift it to the bride!
