Pair Ceramic Poodles • Mid-Century Figurine • Collectible Japan • White Mixed

Here’s a winsome pair of mid-century ceramic poodles in complementary colors and poses; together they make an instant retro vignette for shelf or dresser top. I am selling the pair as a set of two.

There’s the standing white poodle with pink face and paws and looped tail, assuming a smiling begging pose. Then there’s the buddy, the seated mixed poodle with the pom-pom haircut in accent tones of gray, black, brown and even pale yellow. Both were probably both “Made in Japan” because they were purchased within a couple of years of one another, but only the standing dog still has his “Made in Japan” sticker. The seated poodle is stamped with an “R” inside a circle.

TIP: Here’s an instant collection, and also a great gift for a new or longtime owner of a poodle.

Note: This poodle pair comes from a single owner who collected dog figurines as a child, from the mid-1950s to the mid-1960s. (I’ll be taking the 5th Amendment if asked WHO was collecting these.) Guaranteed, you’ll be seeing more of these canine cuties listed in the coming days After all, that is what “downsizing” means, right?

CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. There are no cracks or crazing or chips; they’re definitely gift-worthy. But they are vintage, so please examine all of the photo close-ups to ensure that you can love them in their AS IS condition.

DIMENSIONS: White poodle: 2 3/4″ high; Mixed poodle: 2 1/2″ wide

Unless specifically included in the product listing, any other items shown in the photos were used for styling purposes only and are not included with this purchase.
