Antique M Redon Limoges Lidded Sugar Bowl Pink Roses Gold Detail
Here’s an antique Limoges lidded sugar bowl marked “M. Redon” in a circle, and also marked in green, proving it was made at the turn of the last century. It’s white porcelain with a design of a green garland twining around a gold line and dotted with pink roses and lavender anemones. Its graceful handles and lid are further embellished with rich gold paint.
Aside from its collectible value, this piece is very lovely. The porcelain is Limoges, which means that the vase itself is a pure white color.* It has been hand painted in moss green, shell pink, rose pinks, and lavender.
DIMENSIONS: 61/4″ wide at handle; 3 1/2″ high to top of lid
CONDITION: Good vintage condition: very clean interior, little wear on the base, and only a single small chip on the underside rim of the lid that barely shows when the lid is in place (see close-up of photo #2). I have priced this accordingly.
