17″ Oblong Vintage Brass Planter with Silk Greenery • Mid-Century Modern
Add a touch of brass to a high shelf or mantel with this iconic vintage oblong brass planter overflowing with lush silk greenery. Place it where a real plant is too high to water or doesn’t get enough natural light, such as high on a shelf in a vaulted ceiling. Or set it on a mantel where the brass can glow in firelight and the lush greens can gently fall down.
This look was all the rage in the 1970s and 1980s, and it will add a timeless touch to your interior decor today.
DIMENSIONS: Brass planter: 17″ long x 6″ wide x 3″ high. The greenery adds enormous volume and length (up to 26″ long), but can be adjusted (even trimmed off) and twisted to fit your own needs.
CONDITION: The brass is in good vintage condition. It does have a dent and a few dimples in the bottom (see photo #5 close-up). The green silk flowerless variegated geranium was a high-quality artificial plant, and it looks as good as it did originally. It is securely glued to the inside bottom of the planter, but the shape and even length of the trailers are adjustable by twisting and trimming. This unit is vintage, so please examine the photo close-ups to ensure that it will work for you in its AS IS condition.
